A big thank you for your participation in this very first contest!
The answer was course the TV tower in Berlin Television Tower for non-Germans, who, from a height of 368 meters, dominating the Alexanderplatz and offering a unique view of the city, particularly through its panoramic restaurant which has the distinction of turning on itself.
The hand of chance has so decided, (thank you, Lucile , for allowing me to discover the highly addictive Designate God !) is Sophie, who wrote me to Alecon, which won the slate sticker.
Kudos to you Sophie, send me your address via email quickly.
Rest assured, you will soon have the opportunity to try your luck. And do not turn on his heel, the consolation prize is worth it!
Rather than indulge in a long discourse on modernity and urban sober of his creations, I propose a small world exclusive interview that Michael Hilgers, founder of Rephorm , was kind enough to grant me, where you will discover its work and his philosophy.
Enjoy!
How does one become a "designer for balconies"?
In fact, I am an architect, specializing in retail projects ['s note: otherwise known retail]. It is by chance that I came to the balconies, just when I realized that, whether there are products specially designed for all living spaces, this is not the case of balconies, for which we are forced to buy items that have absolutely not been created taking into account the specificities of such a space. And so that was developed in 2006 the flowerpot Steckling . This first project then knew quite a stir, and voila ...
Is there a particular interest in Germany for the decoration of balconies, terraces or windows? What are the main users' expectations?
In my opinion, there are around a common interest in the balconies. This is also attested to by the products thought both in Brazil than in Scandinavia or the USA ... The balcony is a "green room", limited in size, which, because of the scarcity of 'good' products , is often rencardé the rank of storage. And yet, in large cities, it is often the only green space we have directly under the nose.
What projects are you working on now?
Currently, I work at a bird feeder project for convertible " Steckling "come winter, the plants are removed from the tray and it inserts a manger in place specifically designed for this purpose.
A word (a board, an idea, a suggestion ...) for fans of balconies in France?
I would suggest that the French have a balcony to reconnect with the culture of their balcony overgrown! Why have you in his living room furniture design, and, to a glass of distance, vulgar pots terracotta colored plastic ...?
I leave you with these considerations, if you want to learn more about Michael and exciting creations, please visit the website Rephorm well as the fascinating blog of Michael
